Only if we understand,
will we care.
Only if we care,
will we help.
Only if we help,
shall all be saved.
I am Anna McIntyre-Wressnig,
a marine biologist.
studied Marine Biology and Ecology at the University of Vienna, Austria, and obtained my PhD in Marine Ecology at University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. I have worked in marine environments from coral reefs to the deep sea and everywhere in between, in Europe, Australia and the USA.
I have always loved learning and discovering new things. One of life’s great pleasures for me has always been looking through a microscope. A blade of seagrass or a handful of sand is like a different, hidden world that not everbody has access to. It reminds me of being a child and making up stories and worlds of magical lands and beings – only that here everything is real. And incredibly beautiful!
I am also the mother of two young children who have helped me to hone my skills in communicating all things marine and scientific in a fun and interactive way (because they wouldn’t have listened otherwise).
